Astra through YDBA Sends MSMEs Training to Japan

To achieve this goal, Astra through YDBA strives to encourage MSMEs to be able to apply a basic mentality in entrepreneurship, namely having the spirit to change with the mindset of an entrepreneur, having the spirit of sharing with other MSMEs, having the commitment and consistency in carrying out coaching and producing products that are QCD (quality, cost & delivery).

One of YDBA's steps so that MSMEs can have this mentality is to involve MSMEs in various coaching programs, one of which is the Training Program on Corporate Management for Indonesia (IDCM) at the Kansai Kenshu Center, Osaka, Japan which will take place on January 15-28, 2025. This program is a program organized by The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS).

Previously, 160 MSMEs had participated in the same program since 2013. This year, 14 people from 12 Mandiri and Pra Mandiri MSMEs fostered by Astra through YDBA will participate in the IDCM Training program. The training raised the theme related to Carbon Neutral which of course supports the sustainability of today's business in line with the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

The MSMEs will gain knowledge about Decarbonized Society, Marketing Strategy, 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) & Kaizen, Initiatives, and Implementation of Carbon Neutral in Japan. The MSMEs also have the opportunity to conduct a study tour or benchmark companies in Japan that implement kaizen, 5S, or the implementation of Carbon Neutral. At the end of the program, the MSMEs will take part in a post-activity program through the implementation of YDBA coaching projects that are in line with the knowledge that has been learned in Japan.

Today, January 13, 2025, at the YDBA Gallery Jakarta, YDBA together with AOTS Jakarta and the AOTS Indonesia Alumni Association (HAAI) symbolically released 12 MSMEs who will enrich their knowledge in Japan. Present at the release were the Chairman of the YDBA Management Rahmat Samulo, Secretary of the YDBA Management Ema P. Prasetio, Treasurer of the YDBA Management Agung K. Sampurno, General Manager of AOTS Jakarta Mrs. Saito Kazuko, Deputy Chairman of HAAI Robby Kambey and one of the Owners of the UMKM Workshop fostered by Astra through YDBA, Prioritas Jaya AC Workshop, Yoyon Yuniarto who has participated in the IDCM program in 2023.

In his remarks, Rahmat Samulo hoped that the MSMEs who had the opportunity to participate in this program could optimize it seriously so that it could be useful for the development of the business/business being run. Samulo also hopes that this IDCM program can sustainably continue in the future by involving more UMKM fostered by Astra through YDBA.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Saito Kazuko advised the MSMEs to be enthusiastic about learning and enjoy every process of this IDCM Training activity.

Yoyon Yuniarto delivered his testimony when he participated in the IDCM program in 2023, according to him the benefits gained after participating in the program were greater than the effort expended. Yoyon has prepared his generation to study in the land of cherry blossoms and continue the workshop business that Yoyon is currently running.
