SMALL STEPS TO START A SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE

When we start a new thing it feels strange to do. Currently, environmentally friendly living is being implemented to be applied in everyday life. This invitation to an environmentally friendly lifestyle aims to invite us consistently with sustainable living.

a. Not using disposable products

The use of disposable products is still a problem, especially the use of single-use plastics that are still often used by the public because of cheaper price considerations and easy to get anywhere. Plastic is one of the chemical compounds that are difficult to decompose and take tens to hundreds of years. So the use of single-use products, one of which is made of plastic, is still a threat that endangers the environment and living things. Based on the analysis of the Global Plastic Action Partnership, the State of Indonesia collects 39 percent of waste with the capacity to be recycled only limited to 10 percent. The impact is the disposal of waste to the sea due to unmanaged waste on land.

b. Use the Product Until it is Used Up

The use of products until the end of use is one of the steps that we can do to minimize waste disposal in landfills. The use of the product until it runs out aims so that consumers can be responsible for the products they consume. Beauty products are still a superior product with a large interest. Some brands of beauty products continue to innovate quickly. So often we feel overconsumption and throw unused products until they run out.

c. Carefully Purchase The Nercessary Product

Before we buy the product we want, we should find out in advance the usefulness and benefits of the product. Many times we regret when a product has been purchased. The reason is because usually the goods that have been purchased have a high price while the goods received are not so important. Therefore, because the routine of buying unused products is very detrimental to us because the mood becomes unhealthy, besides being careful in buying products can help to reduce waste that has an impact on the environment.

d. Giving Waste To Waste Banks For Recycling

Waste Bank is a place used to collect garbage that has been sorted. The results of the garbage collection will be deposited to the garbage craftsmen or to the garbage collection place processed into crafts. Giving waste to the Waste Bank is considered quite efficient because the waste is reprocessed into more useful items.
