UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN SHOPPING? HERE ARE THE CONSUMER RIGHTS YOU NEED TO KNOW.

Have you ever felt the inconvenience when shopping because of the service that is not convenient from the seller? From this, the establishment of Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection with the aim of realizing a just and prosperous society and guaranteed in accordance with the rules of the Law. Well here are actually the rights that you need to know when becoming a consumer:

 

  1. The right to get information as clearly as possibleWhen you want to buy a product, of course, you need to know the information in the most detail possible about the product. According to OJK rules, it requires business actors to provide product and service information accurately, honestly, clearly and not trap consumers. If the delivery of the information provided is felt to be lacking, you have the right to ask for an explanation again until it is completely clear.
  2. The Right to Fair Treatment As a consumer, you have the right to have equal access to other consumers. This often happens when doing online shopping to return the goods but the request is rejected by the seller, then you have the right to ask for an explanation of the rejection.
  3. The right to data security protection Nowadays consumers are facilitated by shopping from home only by ordering online on market place sites. When buying a product, you share a lot of data with the product provider. But what needs to be considered by consumers is that not always using online sites will be safe. Several times consumers have conceded personal data from the system.  For this reason, consumers need to understand the rights obtained when something unwanted happens.
  4. Right to file a complaint when there is a problem Consumers also have the right to file a complaint if there are problems in making the transaction process. Usually in the process of buying and selling there are services provided by sellers, namely complaint handling services. The purpose of providing this service is to implement a mediation agreement to find a solution for both parties.
  5. The right to reliable service As a consumer you deserve accurate service. Starting from the system, procedures, human resources provided by the seller are qualified and professional.

 

It turns out that we as consumers have rights that must be fulfilled! Let's be a smart consumer and critical of the rights we have so as not to cause harm in the future!
