Yayasan Astra – Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra (Yayasan Astra – YDBA) is collaborating with PT Astra Otoparts Tbk (Astra Otoparts) to present eight Assisted Manufacturing MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) at Automechanika Jakarta 2026, held on 24–27 September 2026 at Hall 5, Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) PIK 2, Tangerang. Carrying the theme “Astra Otoparts & Yayasan Astra – YDBA Supports The Automotive Industry Ecosystem,” the collaboration features the Four-Wheel Industry Tree (Pohon Industri Roda 4) along with flagship products from manufacturing MSMEs assisted by Astra Otoparts and Yayasan Astra – YDBA that have become part of the automotive industry supply chain.
Highlighting the Role of MSMEs in the Automotive Industry Ecosystem
Through the Four-Wheel Industry Tree, visitors can see the interconnections within the four-wheeled vehicle component industry, including the role of manufacturing MSMEs as suppliers that help sustain the national automotive industry supply chain. The presence of the eight Assisted Manufacturing MSMEs at this international-scale exhibition is also part of Yayasan Astra – YDBA's marketing facilitation efforts, aimed at opening business-matching opportunities and expanding market access for MSMEs.
Under its MSME Supply Chain development model, Yayasan Astra – YDBA acts as a bridge between MSMEs and large industry players, such as Astra Otoparts group companies acting as “Foster Parents” (Ayah Angkat). The process begins with the curation and recruitment of MSMEs, followed by training and mentoring focused on Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD) standards, and extends to financing facilitation through Astra and non-Astra financial institutions, in the form of either investment capital or Purchase Order (PO) financing. This mentoring also emphasizes the fundamental mindset MSMEs need: willingness to change, empathy to help others, commitment, and consistency.
As a result, in 2025 transactions between the Astra Group and its assisted MSMEs reached Rp 5 trillion, involving 400 MSMEs supplying 1,700 components and creating 30,000 jobs.
Rahmat Samulo, Chairman of the Board of Yayasan Astra – YDBA, said that the collaboration with Astra Otoparts at Automechanika Jakarta 2026 is a tangible form of Astra's support for an automotive industry ecosystem that includes MSMEs.
“For Yayasan Astra – YDBA, manufacturing MSMEs are an important part of the automotive industry supply chain. Through mentoring focused on Quality, Cost & Delivery, we want MSMEs not only to be capable suppliers, but also to grow into independent and competitive partners. Exhibitions like Automechanika open opportunities for them to reach a wider market,” said Rahmat Samulo.
