Banyumas - Astra through Astra Runners is synergizing with the Dharma Bhakti Astra Foundation (YDBA) to strengthen the plastic waste processing ecosystem in Indonesia. This synergy was realized by handing over plastic pellet printing machines to YDBA-assisted Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Banyumas, Central Java and Tarikolot, Bogor (20/1).
The assistance was handed over by Captain Astra Runners Nicholas Dimas Ario Sadewo to the Chair of the Pande Besi Gayeng Ruyeng UMKM Community Fajar Tri Anggoro, witnessed by the Chair of the YDBA Management Sigit P. Kumala, Secretary of the YDBA Management Ema Poedjiwati Prasetio, YDBA Advisor Tonny Sumartono and the Owner of PT Astana Wira Karya, Muhammad Umar Anif.
After handing over the aid, the activity continued with a visit to UMKM Pande Besi Wahyu Tempa to see firsthand the process of making plastic knife handles.

In the 2023 Astra Half Marathon, Astra Runners and YDBA also involved YDBA-assisted MSMEs in Jabodetabek, namely Wayang Art, to conduct workshops and invite 4,000 participants to utilize plastic waste in the form of plastic bags which can be processed into interesting, beautiful and beautiful paintings. has resale value.
The assistance is optimized to form an ecosystem for utilizing plastic waste involving YDBA-assisted MSMEs in Banyumas, namely PT Astana Wira Karya, the Pande Besi Gayeng Ruyeng MSME Community in Pasir Wetan Village, Banyumas Regency and Manufacturing MSMEs in Tarikolot Village, Bogor Regency.
PT Astana Wira Karya is supported by YDBA which produces plastic pellet printing machines which are needed by the Pande Besi Gayeng Ruyeng UMKM Community which is supported by YDBA in Banyumas which produces knives with plastic handles, as well as Manufacturing SMEs in Bogor which produces household utensils made from plastic.
This plastic waste processing program is in line with the Astra 2030 Sustainability Aspiration, especially regarding waste processing management, which is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in goal no. 12, namely responsible consumption and production.
