YDBA AND SANF COLLABORATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF UMKM IN THE COUNTRY

Jakarta – In line with Astra's ideals of Prospering with the Nation, Astra together with its business lines and foundations continue to strive to develop MSMEs so that they rise in class, are independent and sustainable. To support this, Astra invites all business lines and foundations to collaborate to achieve this goal.

Today, August 31 2023, one of the groups from the Astra business line, namely PT Surya Artha Nusantara Finance (SANF), a company that provides productive financing oriented towards meeting the business needs of its business partners together with one of Astra's foundations, the Dharma Bhakti Astra Foundation (YDBA) collaborating in the Business Development Fund Strengthening Program for YDBA-assisted MSMEs in Jabodetabek. The program organized by SANF in collaboration with YDBA is a part of SANF's 40th anniversary which falls this year.

A total of 37 MSMEs assisted by YDBA had the opportunity to send business proposals to be selected by SANF and YDBA. Of the 37 MSMEs, 20 MSMEs were selected to receive a program to strengthen business development funds from SANF. Development funds are provided for the need for additional production equipment and machines as well as to support market expansion for MSMEs. The twenty selected MSMEs include Dapur PrincessOsya, Wardani, D'Dinda, Buatdipake, SL Slamlil, Oja Snack, Batik Koja Autentic, Dapur Mama, Pundi Craft, Srengenge, Hoerudin, Iyut Craft, Waroeng Telili, Saung Phonik, Sloopie Handmade, CV Adiijaya Teknik, Decrips, Dewoz Art, Taqqia Craft and Kedai Kang Kim.

The handover of development funds was given directly symbolically to MSMEs at the YDBA Gallery, Jakarta. Present at the handover of development funds were, among others, the Chairman of the YDBA Management, Sigit P. Kumala; YDBA Management Secretary, Ema Poedjiwati Prasetio; YDBA Management Treasurer, Tarsisius Wijaya; SANF Finance Director, Handy Hartono; Marketing and Business Development Division Head, Mitondho and Human Capital and General Services Division Head, Theresia S. Nayuti.

Sigit P. Kumala in his speech expressed his happiness with the collaboration between SANF and YDBA in supporting MSMEs to advance to class through a program to strengthen MSME business development funds. Sigit hopes that the funding strengthening program can help 20 MSMEs develop their businesses and increase the enthusiasm of MSMEs to continue to show achievements in their business. Sigit also hopes that this collaboration between YDBA and SANF can continue and involve more MSMEs in various regions, especially in the 15 YDBA assisted areas.

Meanwhile, Handy Hartono, in his speech, expressed his support for MSMEs. This was held as a form of gratitude for the journey of SANF, which will enter its 40th year on August 25. In addition, supporting community growth and empowerment through the provision of SANF Assistance Funds is a form of sustainable social responsibility and part of the financial literacy program which is in line with the Astra Creative pillar.
