YDBA'S LEADING VILLAGE AND MSME PRODUCTS ENLARGE INACRAFT 2024 "COLLABORATION FOR THE FUTURE OF INDONESIAN MSMEs"

Marketing facilitation is one of Astra's development programs through the Dharma Bhakti Astra Foundation (YDBA) for MSMEs with the aim of bringing together and expanding markets for MSMEs. YDBA provides marketing facilitation, one of which is by involving YDBA's handicraft MSMEs in the 2024 International Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft) exhibition, which is the largest craft exhibition in Southeast Asia. Inacraft is a brand initiated and owned by the Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Producers Association in collaboration with PT. Mediatama Binakreasi since April 1999.

In Inacraft 2024, 6 MSMEs assisted by YDBA and 3 superior products from Desa Sejahtera Astra (DSA) also enlivened the exhibition which was held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). They are MSME Dea Modis from Yogyakarta, Dayan Craft from Klaten, Kamisuka Batik Indonesia from Bandung, Trois Art from Depok, Nadha Jabu Etnik from Jakarta, DSA West Sumatra, DSA Batu Malang, DSA Deli Serdang and Kumala Artistry from Bandung.

Present to visit the exhibition which was held on 28 February – 3 March 2024, were the Chair of the YDBA Management, Sigit P. Kumala and the Secretary of the YDBA Management, Ema Poedjiwati Prasetio. During his visit, Sigit hoped that MSMEs would be present at the Inacraft 2024 exhibition, not only to support the expansion of the handicraft MSME market, but also to provide inspiration and enthusiasm to MSMEs to continue producing innovative and QCD (quality, cost, delivery) products so that products can compete with other business actors.

Overview of 9 MSMEs

1. Dea Modis

Starting from the desire to encourage mothers to be independent through craft products, in 2010 the owner of Dea Modis, Tuliswati founded Dea Modis which produces various fashion products with typical batik and jumputan crafts. This MSME from Yogyakarta produces various fabrics, clothes, prayer mats, pouches, bags, sandals, shawls and other fashion products with a typical jumputan style. 2. Dayan Craft

This MSME from Klaten produces various kinds of souvenirs by empowering mothers in their neighborhood. In producing its products, Dayan Craft also uses quilt waste. Some of the products it produces include folding bags, net bags, hats, pouches, wallets and various ecobags. 3. Kamisuka Batik Indonesia

Starting from a love of Indonesian literature, Punia Giri and Jonathan, the owners of Kamisuka Batik Indonesia, founded their business in 2014 in Bandung. Kamisuka makes fashion products such as clothes, outerwear, skirts, trousers that are fashionable, comfortable and up to date for batik lovers in Indonesia. 4. Trois Art

This MSME, which is located in Depok, produces various products from ribbon embroidery. Ribbon embroidery itself is a technique for decorating fabric by sewing ribbons decoratively onto the object to be decorated. 5. Nadha Jabu Ethnic

This MSME, which is located in Jakarta, produces various accessories made from pearls whose authenticity is certified. To complete the elegant appearance, Nadha Jabu Etnik also uses other natural materials, namely gemstones combined with precious metals, such as rhodium, silver, brass and 24K plated gold. 6. Astra Prosperous Village (DSA) West Sumatra

DSA West Sumatra has a superior product, namely Mansiang Woven which has existed and been used since ancient times by the ancestors of the Taratak people. The typical product produced from woven mansiang is in the form of kombuik or bags used for shopping at the market, as a substitute for plastic bags. Several other products include long kampia or sling bags, kampia uduik or small wallets and various other bags. 7. Astra Sejahtera Village (DSA) Batu Malang

DSA Batu Malang has a superior product, namely Batik Anjani which was founded in 2014. This MSME from Bandung was founded in 2018 as a home industry that produces women's accessories. Kumala Artistry designs its work by optimizing special designers which are done by skilled hands. Some of the products produced include necklaces, brooches, scarves, shawl necklaces, infinity scarves, with written and woven batik cloth as the main materials. Apart from reaching the domestic market, Kumala Artistry products also have customers from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Netherlands, America and Australia. .
